Bay Valley Medical Group Adds Five New Members

The Bay Valley Medical Group announced the addition of five healthcare professionals to its network of over 350 physicians practicing in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Anupama Velpuri, M.D., works in the Pleasanton office as a family medicine physician. Dr. Velpuri graduated Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India, in 2004, and completed her residency at San Joaquin Hospital. Dr. Velpuri speaks five foreign languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Urudu, and medical Spanish.
Laura Keels, R.N.-F.N.P., works in the Hayward office as a family nurse practitioner. Keels graduated Johns Hopkins in 2000, and later received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of California, San Francisco. Keels, who speaks Spanish, has worked with international health promotion programs such as Amigos de la Americas and Child Family Health International, and volunteered to help Hurricane Katrina victims in Houston, Texas.
Suman Veeragandham, M.D., an OB/Gyn, works in the Hayward office and also sees patients in the Castro Valley office. Dr. Veeragandham earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California in 1993. After later completing her residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center, she opened a private OB/Gyn practice in Indiana. Dr. Veeragandham speaks both Spanish and Telugu.
Ting Wu, M.D., a family medicine physician, works primarily in the Hayward office and also practices in the Castro Valley office. Dr. Wu, who speaks Mandarin, graduated from the Shanghai Second Medical University in 1990. She interned with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and completed her residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pennsylvania.
Rama Polisetty, M.D., works in the Hayward office as an OB/Gyn. She earned her medical degree at Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam in 1999, and recently completed her OB/Gyn residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Polisetty has had many years of experience in health care services around the world, and speaks Hindi and Telugu.
