O'Connor Hospital Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Ronald J. Galonsky, Jr. has been named the new Chief Operating Officer at O’Connor Hospital. The 358-bed acute care, Catholic hospital is a member of the Daughters of Charity Health System.

Galonsky has more than 18 years of leadership experience in healthcare. Since 2006, he served as the CEO of Watsonville Community Hospital.  Prior to Watsonville, Galonsky was the Senior Vice President of Operations and Site Administrator for Centra Health, a 670-bed acute care healthcare system in Virginia.

“Ron will be actively involved in program development, physician relationships, work culture enhancement, and clinical management measures,” said Robert Curry, president and CEO of O’Connor Hospital.  “With our commitment to growth at O’Connor, I am thrilled to have his knowledge and talent on our hospital’s senior leadership team.”

Galonsky is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and a mentor in the ACHE Leadership Mentoring Network. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University and his Master of Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia.
